“Today’s Golfer” included us in their ratings, and we were upgraded from 28th place in 2020 to 26th in 2022. Chris Bertram, an editor for “Today’s Golfer”, explained some of the reasons that influenced the golf resort rankings: he wanted to recognise golf resorts that had more than just golf, to include non-golfing travellers, so the quality of accommodation was also important. 

According to him, Amendoeira Golf Resort has 81 out of 100 points (a new record!). Sitting in the hills above Armação de Pêra, only 35 minutes from Faro airport, 270 hectares of well-being are waiting. At this golf resort in the Algarve, the award-winning Faldo Course and the challenging O’Connor Jnr. course welcome us during the day, while the Academy course (the only floodlit 9-hole golf course in Portugal) does it by night. 

Besides, at this resort you can find a Golf Academy ready to let you practice your swing. From rookies to professionals, there is a wide variety of training programs to meet different needs, alongside personalised instructions and high-tech machines like the “Trackman”.
